Looking for something to do this half-term? Well you're in luck as we're starting our Picture Book Book Club and Storytime!

Join us on Saturday 30th May at 11.30am for a story telling session where one of our friendly booksellers will be reading a brand new picture book for young children.

This month we've chosen 'Room for Us All' by Lu Fraser, a heartwarming rhyming story all about the importance of inclusion and not leaving people out.

No need to book, just pop in to the shop and come have some fun with us!

We hope everybody is enjoying the sunshine and able to get some reading done in this lovely weather!

It was lovely to see so many faces at our book clubs last week with some fun discussions about last months' reads.

The next pick for the Tuesday Murder Club is... 'Blacklands' by Belinda Bauer - a tense thriller following a cat-and-mouse between a child determined to find his uncle and a bred psychopath.

The next meeting for this will be on the 16th June at 18:30pm in the shop.

The next read for the Fiction Book Club is... 'Greater Sins' by Gabrielle Griffiths - a gothic story following a macabre discovery in a remote corner of Scotland during World War I.

We will be meeting in the shop on the 18th June at 18:30pm.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

It was lovely to see some new faces last night, we hope everyone enjoyed themselves and hope to see you again for next month. 'Flesh' ultimately landed a bit in the middle for most people, with an overall 3 star rating from the group.

The Book Club pick for May is... 'The Expanded Earth' by Mikey Please.

Abounding in quirky charm and vivid imagination, this masterful fantasy novel follows the travails of shrunken humans on an epic adventure filled with mind-bending challenges.

We will be meeting in the shop on the 21st May at 18:30pm.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

It was lovely to see so many new faces at our book clubs this week with the launch of the Tuesday Murder Club and another fun discussion in the Fiction Book Club.

The next pick for the Tuesday Murder Club is... 'Dead Simple' by Peter James - a thrilling read that centres on a missing bridegroom, his dead friends and the unearthing of a whole heap of shocking secrets.

The next meeting for this will be on the 17th March at 18:30pm in the shop.

The next read for the Fiction Book Club is... 'Victorian Psycho' by Virginia Feito - an irresistibly gothic black comedy, as a new governess has difficulty keeping her dangerous urges to herself when she takes a position at the oppressive Ensor House.

We will be meeting in the shop on the 19th March at 18:30pm.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
