The Amalio Burguet 1A is a refined Spanish concert classical guitar, offering the warmth, balance and musical character that have earned Amalio Burguet guitars their fine reputation.

Built with a solid spruce soundboard and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, the 1A has the depth and colour you’d expect to find from a high quality Spanish guitar maker.

The tonal signature of Amalio Burguet guitars is one that is rich and immersive, with a wide range of colours under the fingers. Whilst there is plenty of dynamic headroom available, Burguet guitars have a magical way of pairing this with a softer ‘attack’ than most other Spanish guitars, which provides a sense of refinement that is sometimes lacking in other guitars at this price point. The 1A is a highly lyrical guitar with a natural feel under the fingers.

The Amalio Burguet 1A has an elegant, natural voice rather than an exaggerated or overly modern character. It is warm, balanced and firmly rooted in the Spanish tradition — a guitar designed to support and reward expressive playing. A very ‘player friendly’ guitar that is difficult to put down.

The Wolfgang Jellinghaus Conservatory 1A is a powerful, full-bodied instrument that offers an immediately satisfying playing experience—rich in tone and highly responsive under the fingers.

At its core is a lattice-braced spruce soundboard, giving the guitar a strong, open voice with excellent projection. The sound is full bodied, with a depth that excites both lyrical playing and harmonic passages. The trebles are warm and rounded, with a smooth, singing quality. A striking and highly refined concert instrument from Italian luthier Roberto Pozzi, this REG (Roma Expo Guitars) Special Edition model represents a clear evolution in both design and performance.

Crafted with a spruce soundboard, paired with ebony back and sides and a beautiful flamed maple neck, this guitar is instantly distinctive—an elegant masterpiece by one of Italy’s finest luthiers.

This is the very model showcased at Roma Expo Guitars 2026, and demonstrated by Edith Pageaud—an instrument that drew much attention for its clarity, projection, and musical poise. Having personally tested the 30 guitars available in Rome this year, this guitar stood out as one of the most lyrical, expressive and refined guitars on offer.

New Arrival | Alexis Parducci (2026)

We’re delighted to present something truly special—our first concert guitar by award-winning Argentinian luthier Alexis Parducci.

A cedar soundboard paired with striking Radal Patagonia back and sides, producing a voice that is rich, resonant, and deeply engaging.

While relatively unknown in Europe, Radal Patagonian is a tonewood with which Parducci has extensive experience. In his own words, it produces an “incredible tone”, with a natural ability to “enhance the lower frequencies—resulting in a deep, resonant, and enveloping sound”. Visually it is also rather compelling, offering a beautifully varied, high-contrast grain that gives the instrument a distinctive and elegant aesthetic.

This is a guitar that is not only refined and beautiful on the outside, but one which possesses a voice that is highly expressive and natural with a vast array of subtle tonal variations.

That’s it! Our time at this year’s is over. And so concludes a most rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable musical experience. Meeting with dozens of luthiers, talking guitar nonstop for 3 days and extensively playing the very finest classical guitars Italy has to offer. New friends were made as well as chance meetings with friends from years gone by. It’s now decision time to see which of these most excellent guitars will make the cut and find their way into our shop. Stay tuned for some announcements over the coming days and weeks…

For Sale: Manuel Rodriguez Model D (1989)

The Manuel Rodríguez Model D is a well-crafted Spanish classical guitar that offers a warm, rounded voice and dependable playability, making it an excellent choice for developing players who need a guitar that is not only easy to play, but will help them to improve their tone and musicianship.

Its solid Canadian cedar top delivers immediate warmth, while the Indian rosewood back and sides provide stability and a focused, balanced projection. Traditional fan bracing supports a clear, even tonal response across the register. This guitar was made in Manuel Rodriguez’s golden era, when all of their guitars were made by hand in Spain (unlike today when they're made in Eastern Europe).

Tasteful appointments include an ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge, gold-plated tuners and traditional rosette. Handmade in Spain, the Model D combines traditional design with practical durability—an instrument designed to support years of musical growth and enjoyment.

As a secondhand guitar, there are a few marks and signs of use, but no structural concerns. Comes fully set up and ready to continue making music with another enthusiastic classical guitarist. Hard case included.
