This afternoon's product testing continues.
I will be trying out the Kaleido Colorworks Yellow with a paint brush to see how it lays down, I know they're designed for use in an airbrush but I wanted to test it hand brushed over standard acrylic, in this case, Duncan Rhodes Dark Sun Yellow.
Hoping to mask off the skin on the wizard figure and then see what the Kaleido Colorworks Red looks like on a 3D printed surface.

So, I've finished the little Optimus Prime kit from Trumpeter. The red and blue areas have been painted with Kaleido Colorworks K007 Blue and K003 Red.

Paint was applied using the Gaahleri Mobius 0.3 airbrush and the TurboX Mini Air Compressor.

The figure, paints, airbrush and compressor are all in store if anyone fancies a closer look. Now I need to find an excuse to test the Duncan Rhodes Troll Blood effects paint...

Afternoon all, just catching up after being closed yesterday.
I've had a selection of Steel Harpy Gaming stencils arrive in store along with a new range of scenic products from Gatehouse Gaming UK.
Restocked Gundam Marker sets and Mr Hobby Masking Tape, the Duncan Rhodes Two Thin Coats resupply is due next week along with the TTC effects paint range.

Hello all, I've been testing the Kaleido Colorworks paint set. Very impressed so far, really nice gloss finish from an acrylic paint.
Blue and Red test pieces were airbrushed directly onto bare plastic without primer. I've tried to capture the difference by showing a picture of the unpainted red plastic to compare with the painted finish.
The Sky Blue Dreadnought leg was painted over a primed surface.
All the test pieces are in the shop if you want a closer look at them. The paint set has found its way into the Try Before You Buy bits so if you wish to have a play just pop by and say hi.

New arrivals! TurboX Mini Air Compressor from Gaahleri for £52 each and Kaleido Airbrush Cleaner for £4 for 60ml.
I'll be opening a TurboX to try out in store so feel free to pop by and have a look, I'll also be testing the airbrush cleaner as it's listed as non toxic, odourless and if it's effective may be the best price per ml cleaner for acrylics I can get in store.
Updates on the testing will be posted this weekend. Hope to see you all soon.
