AI Free Zone
We strive to keep Willow, as much as possible, free from AI content.
We believe it's important to keep things real, to support real human skills (including our own), and to provide an outlet for those who do.
We take great care to stock our shop with quality, hand-made and individually designed products from independent makers. AI doesn't obviously affect items like Candles, Soaps, Jewelry and, of course, Dried Flowers; but is prevalent in items like Greetings Cards, Art Prints and even Gift Wrap. For these items to have some, for want of a better word, soul, they need to be born of some form of creative process. Why take the time and trouble to send someone a heartfelt message of love, support, sympathy, or whatever, and choose a completely soul-less vehicle for that message?
This AI aversion extends to our Social Media posts, web content and a host of other marketing material. We know how we feel about our business and our products far better than chatGPT does!
The training of AI to mimic the human capacity for individual design reduces the need for those skills and has the potential to seriously affect their continued development. Hand-made is the end-result, but it's also human creative skill and, above all, individuality, that underpins those creative abilities.
Keep it real.
