A July recap. Quite an active month for me. Sales were a bit slow but I had my best Faire market and gained 6 new stockists! The market also wiped out a lot of washi tape and even though I had a delivery last week, I didn’t order nearly enough so some designs are running very low - oops! I also started prepping for Christmas and even ordered some festive stock!

Dean Village, Edinburgh. I used Ecoline Official and tombow pens, Caran d'Ache luminance and neocolors and Faber-Castell UK pencils! I’m enjoying getting messy in my sketchbook and loosening up a bit!

Bit of an achievement - I remembered one of my Bath map postcards before I set off for Bath! We were only there a few hours so didn’t get to see much and it was far too hot - I have been loads before so I was quite happy hiding in the shops’ glorious air conditioning!

My first sketchbook spread in a very long time following along with Katie | Sketchbook Artist Patreon’s mixed media shopfronts. I used some Tombows, Ecoline pens and Caran d’Ache Luminance pencils and neocolors. I decided to reference some shops in Norwich as I’ve been missing Norfolk a lot at the moment. I like how the pub turned out but I think I rushed into the second shop which didn’t turn out so well. I nearly quit but I’m glad I stayed with it!

(The palette is just to hold the paper down 😜)

New stationery goodies have landed in the shop! British Visiting Birds and Dinosaurs. Bit of a mixture I agree but when you consider dinosaurs are vintage birds, it’s not that weird! Washi, sticker sheets and matching prints are now available!

All hand illustrated in procreate, because AI art is gross.

This lovely lot got sent off to the Clifton Suspension Bridge museum Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol last week! I do love a themed package. Cards, prints and bookmarks available!

Say hello to British Visiting Birds, a brand new addition to my British nature collection. Inspired by all the swifts flying about my house at the moment!

Giving collage another go. It feels good to be physical while creating art again. Made with painted papers and magazine scraps.

Went on a boat safari yesterday afternoon in Brixham. Sadly didn’t see any dolphins but did get up close with Flower the seal, some coastal birds and jelly fish. Even caught a heron hanging out on a fishing boat!

I’ve been mostly avoiding the nice weather because it flares all my chronic illnesses so it was nice to get on the sea again for a couple of hours!
