SERVICE DETAILS:
Hi Neighbours!
My husband and I recently moved to the East Kootenay region. He works here full-time, and I'm retaining my full-time employment in Calgary. I'll be in YYC 4 days per week, then come home for 4 days.
My plan was to do our grocery shopping on the morning I come home from Calgary each week...and that got us thinking...the nearest Costco from here is either Lethbridge, Okotoks or Kelowna.
Seeing as though I'll be driving by the Okotoks location every week we figured it might be nice to offer a pick-up and delivery service to our new neighbours, for a small convenience fee. Service is available to anyone living in Elkford, Sparwood, Fernie, Elko, Grasmere, Galloway, Baynes Lake, Jaffray, Wardner, Cranbrook, Kimberley, Wasa and Creston.
Here's how it works:
1. You like and Follow my Grocery Gal page for weekly service dates & times, as well as the most recent feature sales. (I feature seasonal items and items most purchased by my customers).
2. Send me an email with your Costco shopping list: [email protected]
3. I'll provide you with your individual receipt and meet you at one of my designated meeting spots along my route home.
4. You send me an e-transfer for the total amount on your receipt, PLUS the small service fee.
5. We live happily ever after! No subscription or membership required. You can place an order as often or infrequently as you need.
Here's what I'll pick up for you:
1. Grocery Items: Fresh Produce, Meat, Bread, Non-Perishables, Dog / Cat Food etc.
2. Household Staples: TP / PT, Hygiene Products, Tin Foil, Cling Wrap, Batteries, Laundry Detergent etc.
3. Alcohol
4. Fridge Items that won't melt or thaw: Cheese, Yogurt, bacon etc.
5. Misc. Items as available in store
DISCLAIMER: I do NOT guarantee / warranty any 'temperature-sensitive' item during transport. I purchase non-perishables, including canned and carbonated goods a couple days before delivery day so that my time in Costco the morning of delivery day can solely focus on fresh food items. In the summer, I pick up fresh meat the morning of delivery day, but in the winter when it's cold, I'll pick up fresh meat & frozen goods a couple days before (because it won't spoil). All temperature-sensitive items are AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Here's what I won't pick up:
1. Frozen Foods: Ice cream etc.
2. Heavy or Large Items: Appliances, Flooring, Tires, dog beds etc.
Have questions...email me and let's figure something out!
Here's what I charge:
$20 for up to any 10 items
$30 for up to any 20 items
$40 for up to any 40 items
$50 for more than 40 items
*I have a zero-tolerance policy for non-payment.
*I accept e-transfers or cash
What's 'an item'?
1 Item is any product sold individually OR multiples of a product packaged as 1.
For example: Kraft PB is sold individually vs. Kirkland Natural PB is sold as a package of 2. Both of these would be considered 1 item. However, if you wanted 2 Kraft PB jars, that would be 2 items. A 6-pack of socks is also 1 item, but 2 packages of 6-pack socks are 2 items. When in doubt, I charge based on the total items listed at the bottom of the Costco receipt.
Where are the pick-up locations:
1. Sparwood Visitor Information Center Parking Lot
2. Fernie Curling Rink
3. 3/93 Public Parking Lot (SW corner of intersection)
4. Jaffray Shell station Parking Lot
5. Wardner Community Hall Parking Lot
6. Cranbrook Home Hardware
*For safety reasons, I do not deliver to private residences.

In your email, please provide the following information:
1. Your contact number
2. Your location for pick-up / delivery
TIPS for best service:
1. Confirm your items are in-stock at the OKOTOKS Warehouse
2. Be as specific as possible when creating your list. Brand name, volume / size of item, preferred color, item product code
3. Make sure your item is NOT listed as "ONLINE ONLY"
4. Provide a list of alternatives in case any item isn't available
This is a COSTCO delivery service. Respectfully, please don't ask me if I'll pick up & deliver from any other store in Calgary, or any other location in Alberta.
Service each week is on a first-come-first-serve basis. I do not prioritize orders based on size. I pick orders in the order they've been emailed to me each week.
