little recap:
〰️The journey began (ended?) when we moved from Boston back to Toronto
〰️Between massive amounts of snow, reuniting with yummy Toronto food, spending lots of time with family, I registered my business in Ontario 🙌🏼
〰️We bought a house !!
〰️We have been busy using these “slow” months to rebuild a foundation for Grace Flora Studio in the GTA — lots of visits to the market to build my flower inventory, connecting with vendors, strategy and operations, and experimenting on my own, which I am really grateful for that creative space.

this arrangement was inspired by Golden Berries that my 7 year old picked at the grocery store. let’s just say he never finished them.

When Danielle said she wanted her wedding to be simple but elevated, this directed our conversation about her bridal bouquet. She wanted something small but intentional to match the intimate vibe of her backyard wedding. This is what came together.

How we stayed within budget to make “fancy meadow backyard” translate into the ceremony, reception, and sweetheart table:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ditched the ceremony arch and used a wooden base to accentuate the white and green flowers in an elevated, earthy aesthetic
✨did a combo of small, bud vases and wide-mouth vases for the reception tables
✨ repurposed the ceremony flowers by lining them together in front of the sweetheart table to create emphasis and impact — and even had leftovers to create the same look for the wedding cake!

Having major déjà vu for my first centerpiece of 2026!! When I first thought I’d try floral design, I brought home flowers from the grocery store and started arranging with kitchen scissors on my dining room table. I did it because l wanted to create and just try. Swipe all the way to see one of my first bouquets! 🫣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6 years later, here I am, doing the very same thing in our temporary rental home with all my fancy flower stuff still packed up. No chicken wire, tape, foam, or shears. It was hard! But I really enjoyed the challenge to explore a new flower market, see buckets of blooms again, and to start creating again.
