Ashley insisted we couldn’t leave Blueberry Fest without getting a picture with Blueberry Burt! 😂🫐

I’d say that was a pretty good call. We had such a fun day at the farmers market, met lots of wonderful people, and loved catching up with so many familiar faces. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, supported local, and made the day so enjoyable. We appreciate every visit, every purchase, and every conversation.

Two years ago, a young lady and her family were visiting Dryden and wandered into my little shop, where she picked out a bar of handmade soap before continuing on with their vacation. This year, as they travelled again, her mom asked if she wanted to stop for handmade soap at different little shops along the way. Her answer was, “No. I’m waiting for Dryden.”

I don’t know if she realizes what those words meant to me. When you own a small business, you pour so much of yourself into what you create, and sometimes you wonder if anyone notices the little details. Then someone remembers, waits, and comes back.

Out of all the places she could have chosen, she waited until she got here. That kind of loyalty isn’t something I take for granted, and moments like this remind me exactly why I started. Thank you for supporting what I do and for making Hinterland & Co a stop worth waiting for. It truly means more than you’ll ever know.
