Normally, I will unpack the new shipment, tidy up the shelves, lining up new and/or popular products for showcase - and creating an interactive reel for everyone to see. 🎞️

However, we are a little over a week away from Animethon (Aug. 7th-9th), so currently I am focused and engaged in preparation for it. So please accept my sincerest apology for how messy the shop will be over the next few days. 🙏🏻

We will be closed from August 6th to August 10th while we attend Animethon. Moreover, we will quickly prepare the shop for everyone, as the August Build Night will be on Saturday the 15th.
(Going to be a busy week for my old soul 😆).

BUT... Anyone who has pre-orders or questions, you are still more than welcome to visit the shop in the meantime.

Our 2nd anniversary Build Night came and went quickly in June! Thank you to everyone who came out, enjoyed pizza, and spend the evening building, hanging out, and having fun! 🥰

Another epic "Battle of the Mitts" also went down! Thankfully, no marriage was destroyed in the process. 😂

Did you know...?

In the Rebuild of Evangelion film series, the surnames of the female pilots are shared with those of Japanese destroyers. Whether they specifically reference the WWII Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) destroyers – Fubuki-class (Type II) and Yūgumo-class – or the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Ayanami-class destroyers is open to interpretation, as all three names appear across these classes.

⚓ Rei — Ayanami (綾波)

⚓ Asuka — Shikinami (敷波)

⚓ Mari — Makinami (真希波*)

*The actual destroyer's kanji is written as 「卷波」, but it shares the same pronunciation.

A welcoming sight for long time EVA fans... 🥲

It has been a hot minute since the TV version blue EVA-00 has shown up again. 🔥

Kotobukiya has recently reissued this kit, but the original Bandai kit was released back in 1996. The blue colour scheme never made it into the Rebuild films, so this is a nostalgic throwback to the early days of EVA kits. ⌛
