Yes, that is the same violin!

Prior to Christmas I touched up all the seams and let the glue cure over the break.
New pegs were cut from blanks, new bridge cut & fitted from blank, new chin rest and tailpiece plus a little bit of varnish cleaning.

This is the result of too much heat while in storage.
The neck heel glue softened, the neck shifted and when the temp cooled down the glue reset. The neck is now stuck in this position.
I’ll have to re-soften the glue to fully remove the neck, clean it up and refit with new hide glue.

It is a beautiful hand made 16” viola and well worth the repair.
