onstantly expanding to match the needs of our customers. Gavin has been teaching and playing music in the Darling Downs area for over 13 years. His passion for music began when he started playing the saxophone and percussion at the age of 8. Since then he has been involved in a wide range of ensembles including concert bands, orchestras and stage bands. Gavin attended the University of Southern Queensland where he completed a Bachelor of Music as well as his A. Gavin then completed Musical Instrument Repair training and is a fully qualified Instrumental Repair Technician. He has completed extensive training in dent removal, polishing and plating, soldering, brass and woodwind instrument setups, machine and tool usage, workshop procedures and retail experience. While devoting the majority of his time to his business, Gavin also teaches drums, saxophone and clarinet privately and at local schools, St Ursula's College and Toowoomba Grammar School. Gavin is also the Musical Director and lead alto in the successful local band, The Cool Nights Big Band. The band has played over 40 performances in the last year and have traveled across Eastern Australia playing to large audiences. Through this and other bands he has had the opportunity to play music with world renowned artists such as Kate Ceberano, Deni Hines, Emma Dean, Kerien Konru, Ross Irwin (Cat Empire), Craig Atkinson (Ten Tenors), Bob Montgomery (USA), Al Hermann (USA), Sharny Russell van H**p (ABC Jazz Recording Artist), Don Burrows and George Golla (Don Burrows Band), and many more.
