I am a Grandmother who is called Nainy, Nain is Welsh for Grandmother. My maternal grandmother was called Nainy, as is my mother to my children, so it was simple when I first became a grandmother what I wanted to be known as. I have always dreamed of having a toy shop, must be the child inside of me wanted to play with all the toys I didn’t have when younger - believe me you are never too old to p

lay with toys and I have so much fun doing so. My Grandies, also like the fact that Nainy has a toy shop - they are brilliant product testers. I don’t know whether I am breaking any child labour laws, but they have great fun. I look for toys that would be fun but also add value, by finding toys that spark imagination, build fine motor skills, encourage logical thinking, and support social interaction. I believe that the simpler toys provide all of these without the use of batteries and electronics, made from natural and sustainable materials where possible. The range of toys within the shop are for children of all ages from 0 to 100, there are plenty of “adult” children toys here to see - the UGears range and Jigsaw puzzles particularly. I encourage all customers to provide feedback and make suggestions on what “toys” to stock in the shop.
