We do not usually make posts like this.
Most of the time, we would rather be talking about new builds, upgrades, field days, custom work, restocks, and the gear that keeps this hobby moving. That is what Command Elite has always been about — not just selling products, but backing the players, builders, techs, collectors and enthusiasts who make this community what it is. That focus is reflected in the way we operate across blasters, customs, HPA, GBB, parts, accessories, sponsorship, and wholesale.
But right now, we need to speak plainly.
Recent federal import changes have created serious uncertainty around the future supply of key gel ball and skirmish products in Australia. This is not about panic, and it is not about exaggeration. It is about the reality that decisions made at the import level can flow all the way down to local retailers, local fields, repairs, upgrades, custom builds, and the long-term future of the hobby.
For many people outside the community, this might sound niche. For us, it is not.
This hobby has given people:
Real friendships.
A place to belong.
Something technical to learn, something competitive to enjoy, and something positive to look forward to on weekends.
It also supports real Australian small businesses, real staff, real events, and real families.
For some, gel ball is a pastime.
For others, it is their main community.
For many businesses like ours, it is years of work, investment, and belief in building something worthwhile.
The concern is not that ownership in Queensland suddenly ends overnight.
The concern is that import restrictions on key product categories can slowly:
Choke supply.
Reduce choice.
Raise costs.
Weaken the businesses and venues that the community depends on.
That is why we are asking our customers and supporters to speak up.
If this hobby has meant something to you, now is the time to say so.
Please take a few minutes to:
Email your local Federal MP.
Email Queensland Senators.
Keep your message respectful, genuine and personal.
Explain why gel ball matters to you, your family, your team, your field, or your local business.
The strongest messages are not copy-paste outrage.
They are real stories from real people.
Tell them:
This is a legitimate hobby and sporting community.
It supports local jobs and small business.
It supports fields, events, repairs, tech work and retail.
Changes to import settings can have serious downstream effects on the community, even where local ownership remains lawful.
We are proud of this community.
We are proud of the people in it.
And we believe this community deserves to be heard before its future is narrowed by decisions made without proper understanding of what is actually at stake.
If you have ever supported Command Elite Hobbies, played at a field, built a blaster, upgraded a platform, or simply loved being part of this scene, please do not stay silent.
Stand up for the hobby.
Stand up for the community.
Stand up for its future.
