They’re here 🤍

After months of waiting for the GraceLaced Bibles by Ruth Chou Simons, I may or may not have been jumping around the shop unpacking these yesterday…

They are honestly insanely beautiful, even more than we hoped.

A little sneak peek of the ESV Journaling Edition Quiet Forest 🌿

If you’re new here, this is what we’re about. A small, independent Christian bookshop, thoughtfully sourcing what we truly believe will enrich and encourage your walk with Jesus.

We’re so grateful to be the first Christian bookstore in Australia to have these in stock.

If you pre ordered, these are on their way to you on Monday 🤍

More to come soon…

You Bet Your Stretch Marks is finally here 🤍

We’ve been bursting at the seams waiting for this one… and it’s landed just in time for Mother’s Day.

And honestly? School holidays has us reheating the same cup of coffee three times while refereeing sibling disputes… and if we have to hear “Mum, watch this!” yelled from the trampoline one more time, we might just lose our minds 😅
So we’re really glad this book is finally here because it meets us right in the middle of all of that.

Not the polished version of motherhood but the real one. The sleepless nights, the hard conversations, the moments that stretch your patience (and your heart), the changes in your body, your relationships, your identity… all of it.

Abbie writes like someone who gets it. With honesty, a bit of humour, and a steady pointing back to Jesus in the middle of the noise, not once everything settles down.

If you’ve loved Hard Is Not the Same Thing as Bad or M Is for Mama, this carries that same depth and encouragement.

A really beautiful, grounding read for mums in every season 🤍 We feel super blessed to have this in store.

AHHHHH!!!!! Look what arrived in the mail today! ✨📚

We are so excited to have the first two books in the Power of Three series in our hands—Power of Three and Castle of Delight—and we already know these are going to be deeply loved.

These stories follow three brothers, Sterling, Cruise and Arrow, whose imaginations aren’t just for fun, they actually shape the world around them. From facing a relentless dragon to being swept into a world of starry secrets, talking books and wonder, these are adventure-filled stories that carry something deeper… courage, identity, and truth.

But what makes these books even more special to me is the author behind them 🤍

I first met Sue (and the dearly loved Carolyn, now with the Lord) many years ago when they came to Halls Creek. Sue has ministered to children all over the world, and also played a role in supporting and shaping the heart behind Southern Cross Kids’ Camps alongside Carolyn, an incredible ministry that has impacted so many lives.

I had the privilege of sitting under Sue’s ministry as she poured into our children’s team, shared with the women in church, and taught our children, right there among the red dirt and gum trees. I was also blessed to help lead our very first girls’ youth camp to Darwin with Sue and Carolyn, something I’ll never forget.

Sue carries a contagious joy and a deep, genuine love for God that you feel the moment you’re around her. She has such a powerful heart to see children not wait until they’re older to walk with Jesus, but to know Him, love Him, and live out their purpose now.

These books carry that same heart.

We are so honoured and excited to have these on our shelves as Sue begins her author journey. I can’t wait for our community, especially our young readers, to fall in love with these stories.

Come in and grab a copy… I have a feeling these ones won’t stay on the shelf for long 💛

I believe this coming weekend is going to be holy ground. Lives will be changed in Jesus name.

Post a photo of where you’ll be this Easter. We’re expectant for God to move in powerful ways across our towns and through churches as we remember His great love and victory over death, sin and the grave.

“The temple stood empty at the edge of the village, encircled by a crown of aspens. The villagers, when they had to pass by, cast anxious glances at the carved figures arching like serpents from the eaves. Even the magpies, whose dome nests filled the crooked boughs of the nearby trees, avoided the ancient structure. In the twilight, long shadows crept along the wide shingles, lingering well after daybreak. Deep within the temple, tucked away like a glowing seed in a hollow shell, was an empty wooden throne. Cora couldn’t see the temple as she crossed the crowded village square, but she could feel it. The temple was waiting, just like the rest of them.”

I loved this from the very first page… it just pulls you straight in.

Christine Cohen has such a gift for storytelling, so vivid, atmospheric, and completely absorbing. This is the kind of book you pick up on a chilly day and find yourself lost in for hours.

Set in a village shadowed by something ancient and waiting, The Winter King follows 16 year-old Cora as quiet tensions begin to stir — whispers of the past, a throne left empty, and a sense that something long held back is about to awaken. It’s rich with mystery and wonder, drawing you deeper with every page.

There’s also a light, sweet romance woven through the story — subtle, closed-door, and beautifully done, which so many readers are loving.

A wonderful pick for anyone wanting to get swept up in a compelling story, and a trusted addition to your home library from a Christian author 🤍📚

Did you know it’s National Day of Happiness?
So… happy National Happiness Day to you 🤍

But, there’s a lot happening—globally with wars and uncertainty, and closer to home too. Another interest rate rise this week, the pressure of rising grocery bills, and the stress around fuel shortages… especially in regional areas like ours where it affects families, farmers, and everyday life in a real way.

It’s a LOT!

But JOY is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. And fruit doesn’t grow because you try really hard… it grows naturally when it’s connected to something healthy and life-giving.

In the same way, joy is something God says naturally grows in us by the Holy Spirit as we stay close to Him, trust Him, and remember where our hope comes from.

So today, maybe it’s not about surface-level happiness, but deeper joy.

Choosing gratitude.
Lifting our eyes.
And reflecting Him in how we live.

We’re called to be beacons of that joy—so let’s be the smiliest, most hope-filled people today… not because life is easy, but because He is faithful 🤍

Our front window is filled with our favourite Easter picks 🤍

Each one has been carefully chosen, trusted, beautiful, and grounded in the true story of Easter… the story of Jesus.

At the heart of this season is the bright hope we have only because of Him. His death and resurrection, making a way for us to be brought near, forgiven, and made new.

It’s the most significant story we could ever tell… and only one worth placing into little hands and growing hearts.

From the youngest readers to older kids, there’s something here for every age, each one pointing back to the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done for us.

This Easter, why not add something deeply meaningful to the basket, something that shares the hope we celebrate ✨

We’d love to help you choose.

There are some books you read once… and then there are the ones you keep coming back to.

The Reset by Jeremy Riddle is one of those for me. ✨

I am being challenged once again, reading through with several people from our church worship team, and I was honestly surprised how many hadn’t heard of it before. Many of you would recognise Jeremy from his years of songwriting and worship leading at Bethel, and now at Vineyard Anaheim and his heart for true worship is so clear throughout this book.

What I love most is that it doesn’t just talk about worship… it calls us back to the heart of it.

Jeremy gently but boldly walks through the tension many churches feel today, pursuing excellence in worship while guarding the purity and devotion that worship was always meant to carry. One line that really stayed with me this time around was the reminder that God actually prescribes the kind of worship He desires. So often we shape worship around what we enjoy, what we prefer, or what we think works, but Scripture shows us that worship has always been something sacred, something entrusted to us.

This little book is short, but it’s incredibly rich.

Honestly, I’d recommend it to every worship team. Grab a stack, pass them around your team, and read it together. It’s the kind of book that sparks the best conversations about culture, calling, and what it means to lead God’s people in worship.

If you’re building a church library or resourcing your team, this is such a valuable one to have on the shelf.

So grateful for this resource. 💛

We’re sad to be closed this week, but very excited to be back in store with extended trading hours next week, keep an eye out for new times as we continue to step out in faith and serve our community, local churches, families and ministries. Looking forward to stepping into what God has for us next 🙌🏽

One of the things we love most about the shop is seeing people slow down for a moment, browse the shelves, pick up a book that catches their eye, and sometimes stay for a good conversation about faith, life, and what they are reading.

There are so many thoughtful, faith filled reads waiting to be discovered here.

Come in for a browse, a chat, a cuppa. ☕📖
