A big thanks to Ayesha Inoon for visiting us today in the wake of her new book 'The Sisters of Serendib'!
She has kindly signed some copies of it alongside her debut novel 'Untethered' that are available now in store.
We're not saying we can be bribed, but the Sri Lankan sweet kiritopi is mentioned in the book and we were able to try some during her visit... visiting authors, take note ;)

Last night, we were over at Smith's Alternative with Robert Forster (who you may recognise as a singer-songwriter from The Go-Betweens) for the Canberra leg of his book launch tour!

If you're not following Robert to his next stop at the Opera House, why not head in store and pick up a signed copy of his new fiction book 'Songwriters on the Run' or dig into his Go-Betweens days with his memoir 'Grant & I'.

Amidst his documentary work presenting a 4.5 hour long odyssey detailing the varied history of Australian native cockroach species, Shaun becomes separated from the Cave Clan members guiding him through subterranean territory and spends weeks wandering through indistinct concrete tunnels surviving off only the very roaches he endeavoured to record, driving at least two species towards extinction in the process.
Shaun finally emerges through a manhole in Canberra, which is odd given he started off near Fitzroy, and seeks refuge in Dymocks where he brandishes the broken shards of a novelty pen to slice off the antennae that had since developed from his own forehead.
