Who else’s mood is through the roof now that the sun is back out again? 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Man, we’ve had some rain.

Nice to see our resident python is also enjoying the sunshine🐍🌞 It’s so nice having him (or she, how can you tell?) around. No more mice around. I’d love to name the snake, as he’s definitely a pet, but I guess it will have to be an androgynous name, how about Pretzel? The configurations he gets his body into! Pretzel the Python.

A bit of house keeping, though. What to do with over abundant lemons? We pick and give them away. We have made preserved lemons (when I say we, I mean my very kind sister in law), but they just keep coming. If anyone local wants to come and pick, just DM me. You are welcome to any time we are home, but DM first.

Other than that, it’s definitely soup day, one day until winter! Enjoy the sunshine all 🌞🙌🏾

It’s after 7pm on a Friday night and we have just finished putting all the gorgeous linen fashion out on the racks. It is all from Italy, well priced, well cut, beautiful basics. The type of thing you just want to throw on daily.

We are open tomorrow 11-3. Week days 10-5. Come in and have a play, you’ll love our little attic boutique 🤎

We try daily to keep the life/work balance. I’m sure many of you relate. I could actually just take a couple of days off during the week, but I’m a Capricorn, ‘nuff said 🤓. So happy doing what I love, and I also have FOMO when Hannah tells me who was in and I missed out when I’m not there 😂

So, each day starts off early, a big lighthouse walk 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽and work out at the top of the lighthouse 💪🏽 (don’t ask 🙈). Yup, people have commented, we are intense. Followed by quiet meditation up there, daily, and prayers (affirmations, some may say)🙏🏾Basically setting my intentions and putting ‘things right’ with the greater force.

Then, a daily coffee, home to prep all my food for the day. THAT is a post of its own. We are next level with what we put in our bodies. Your body is your temple and all of that.

Followed by a bath. South African women are huge bath girls I find. It literally gives you time alone to chill. I open the windows, even in winter, and listen to the roosters, birds, cows, etc. It’s so pretty watching the early morning mist this time of year.

Ok, then it’s get dressed, lipstick, and go.

Sometimes it’s an extra treat, catching up with good friends pre work, but again, I’m a Capricorn. It takes a lot to break my routine but I am always so happy I did!!

Anyway, the big news is Bisque is doing fashion again. We have everybody asking us about the fashion. So upstairs is nearly set up as a boutique. We have not gone with the previous labels we stocked. We feel that times have changed and people are very aware of the dollar. So we have found absolutely beautiful 100% linen labels, still made in Positano 🇮🇹 , at literally a fraction of the price. The racks are full, more arriving today. So come in, try on, and buy some really gorgeous pieces. Our rule of thumb is, if we won’t wear it ourselves, we won’t stock it. Absolutely every single piece is something I cannot wait to wear. Lots of cool basics, in just the right cut, colour, natural fabric and price point.

We will get it all up online, too.

A heartfelt thank you to the developers of Harvest Estate Byron Bay, Tower Holdings, for engaging Bisque to select all the finishes for this beautiful project. It was an absolute pleasure working closely alongside to help bring the vision to life.

I’d also like to thank Tower Holdings for inviting me back to do this little walkthrough with their team. Working with such a wonderful group of people has truly been a delight.

The next exciting stage is now underway, with Bisque furnishing the home — and once complete, we’ll be returning for another walkthrough, so stay tuned.

Rose took us to work today 🥀💨💨💨 … I love my little car, and appreciate her so much. She’s done some time. 1970. That’s 56 years of work! I hope she’s not thinking of retiring soon!

It’s such a glorious day today, the sun is shining 🌞and it is the prettiest five minute drive from our house, through those green hills, to town. With my Ralphy Boy and Cinnabar 💞💞 Life is good. I get to work with my family every day (Ralph is meant to be retired. lol, he can’t stay away) and such a blessing to work with our gorgeous every day. Taking a moment to appreciate life.

It really makes you think, these days ♥️
