Gabriel Nunes is a Brazilian coffee producer from Chapadao and Bom Jardim farm, a family farm in the Cerrado Mineiro region.
The story began in 1984, when Gabriel’s father, Juninho, planted the first coffee trees on land that had long been used for cattle.
Over the years, the farm evolved alongside Brazil’s coffee revolution, moving from volume production to a strong focus on quality.
Today, Gabriel, an agronomist, represents the third generation of the family. He won the first Cup of Excellence award for the Cerrado Mineiro region in 2015.
He brings a more technical and market-driven approach, combining tradition, innovation, and careful farm management.
We’re excited to have Gabriel with us in Australia again.

Deyvid Oliveira Leandro is a Brazilian coffee producer, quality specialist, and coffee trader from the Cerrado Mineiro region.

His journey in coffee began in 2003, working alongside his grandfather in post-harvest operations at Fazenda Toca da Raposa in Campos Altos, Minas Gerais.
Over the years, Deyvid developed deep expertise in coffee quality, working as a classifier, coffee buyer at local coop, and later helping connect Brazilian producers with international specialty coffee roasters.
A Q Grader since 2015, he has also served as a national and international judge for major competitions including Cup of Excellence and BSCA Coffee of the Year.
Today, Deyvid works with D’barbosa as quality control, and trader, with also producer partner at Fazenda Esperança, Toca da Raposa, and Sucuri Farm gaining strong international recognition.
His work has earned outstanding results in Brazil’s most prestigious competitions, including COE in 2021, 2024 and 2025 through Sucuri Farm.

Edu Melo is a Brazilian coffee producer from Espigão Farm, a family-run farm in the Cerrado Mineiro region. Coffee has been part of Edu’s family story for four generations. His father planted the first coffee trees when Edu was only three years old. Although Edu first pursued a career in Civil Engineering, he eventually returned to the farm, combining his father’s experience with a more structured approach to management.
Edu also has a strong connection with Australia. In 2018, he spent six months in Melbourne and fell in love with the place, deciding he wanted to have his coffees here. Since then, Southland Merchants has partnered with Edu on this journey, and today you can find EspigĂŁo Farm coffees in roasteries across Australia.
Edu is back in Australia this year, come say hi at MICE 2026.

We’ll be at Booth I22 with three Brazilian producers and a lineup of coffees we’re seriously excited about, including Cup of Excellence winners.

Come by, meet the farmers, cup some beautiful coffees and connect with fellow coffee people.

‼️🚨Adelaide coffee crew: cupping night at Patio.

Our friends at Patio Coffee Roasters invited us to put Brazil on the table for a community cupping this Thursday!

We’ll be sharing a lineup of Brazilian coffees, alongside some Colombian lots, creating a great opportunity to taste different origins side by side and explore how they show up in the cup.

A relaxed cupping table, good coffees and great chat.
