MANA POOLS
Nyamepi Camp is the main, unfenced public campsite in Zimbabwe's Mana Pools National Park, situated right on the banks of the Zambezi River.
It offers a deeply immersive, wild bush experience where elephants, hippos, and lions frequently wander through the grounds.
Amenities:
Communal ablution blocks with flush toilets and cold-water showers (hot water is available via wood-fired "donkey boilers" when lit).
What to Pack:
Bring all your own food, drinking water, and extra fuel. There are no shops or restaurants on site.
Power & Ice:
There is no electricity, so you'll need to bring your own solar-powered setups for refrigeration and lighting (a high-beam torch is essential).
Safety:
Monkeys and hyenas are notorious for snatching unattended items or chewing gear.
