The moments we create for children today don’t just pass, they stay.
In their minds.
In their choices.
In the way they walk through life.

That’s what makes Vocational Bible School different.

It’s not just songs and activities.
It's all about guidance and direction in Christlike character.

And this year’s theme: ā€œFaithful Footstepsā€ says it clearly:
we are not just teaching children to believe…
we are teaching them how to walk with God.

That journey needs the right tools.

That’s where the VBS 2026 materials come in:
šŸ“˜ Children’s Books
šŸ“— Teacher’s Manual
šŸ“œ Certificates

Carefully designed to guide, engage, and leave a lasting impression on the young minds.

šŸ“ Available across all Adventist Book Centres starting this Monday:

This year’s Global Youth Day theme reminds us that faith is not only about gathering in church, it’s about communion in action. Serving, connecting, and showing Christ’s love where it is needed most.

And when we step out to serve, it’s powerful to do it together.

That’s why the GYD T-shirts and caps are here so that every young person stepping out into the community carries the same message of service and unity.

There’s a Bible many of us didn’t just read…

We memorized it.
Quoted it.
Recited it under pressure.
Held it tightly during Bible Quiz competitions.

The Revised Standard Version (RSV) has shaped countless young minds, from Pathfinder drills to Health & Temperance contests, from Adventurers’ classes to school assemblies.

For many students at our Adventist schools, Nyazura, Nyahuni, Ruya, Anderson and others, this wasn’t just a Bible.

It was the standard.
The training ground.
The foundation.

Clear. Structured. Easy to memorize.
Perfect for learning Scripture with precision.

And here’s the beautiful thing…

The verses we memorized then?
They’re the ones that still speak to us today.

Now tell us šŸ‘‡
Which Bible verse did you memorize from the Revised Standard Version?

Let’s see who still remembers. šŸ‘€āœØ

Some movements grow.

Others take root.

And there’s a difference.

This got us thinking…

When faith enters a culture, what happens?

Does it replace it?
Does it fight it?
Does it merge with it?

Or does it quietly reshape it from within?

In Africa, Adventism didn’t arrive in a vacuum.

It arrived in villages.
In traditions.
In languages.
In spiritual frameworks that already existed.

And that’s where things become interesting.

Because faith is not just preached,
it is interpreted.

Not just believed,
it is practiced.

And sometimes, without careful reflection, culture can begin shaping faith more than faith shapes culture.

That’s why The Church, Culture and Spirits: Adventism in Africa matters.

This book doesn’t attack culture.
It examines it.

It doesn’t dismiss tradition.
It evaluates it.

It asks the honest questions: How does Adventism remain biblically grounded while operating within African contexts? Where do cultural expressions enrich faith? And where must faith lovingly draw boundaries?

Growth without understanding creates confusion.

But growth with reflection creates maturity.

This isn’t just a history book.
It’s a lens.

For leaders.
For thinkers.
For members who care about the future of the church in Africa.

A strong church doesn’t just grow.

It understands the soil it’s planted in.

Behind every well-functioning church is a well-prepared elder.

The Elders’ Handbook was written to guide, support, and strengthen those entrusted with spiritual leadership.

It clarifies roles, outlines responsibilities, and helps Elders serve with order, and pastoral care.

Not by guesswork, but rather by principle.

Whether you’re currently serving or supporting those in office, this handbook truly brings structure to ministry and unity to the church.

šŸ‘‰ If you’ve ever served as an elder, we’d love to hear from you:

HOW DID THE ELDERS ’ HANDBOOK HELP YOU IN YOUR ROLE?
