LEGO 21329 FENDER STRATOCASTER | 2021 (1,074 pcs)

I have always loved the Fender Stratocaster electric guitar and even started building a real one (and red!) as a teenager. I got halfway or more, until I burnt my dad's workshop down!
I love the more 'art piece' type sets that LEGO are designing in recent years and this one was a must have! Also considering that Jethro, my son, is learning to play guitar and has just got an electric acoustic. So, next stop is the REAL electric guitar, whether it will be a Fender or not, at least we have this one... and it rocks. Oh yes, you can also build it in black! Thank you as always Barry !

LEGO 6212 STAR WARS RED FIVE X-WING FIGHTER | 2006

Being Luke and a Star Wars fan (but not a huge fan of a lot of Lego Star Wars sets... too much flippen grey) one set I just had to have was Luke Skywalker's original SW trilogy Red Five X-Wing Fighter.
There have been quite a few now (yes, I would love that 1559 piece UCS X-Wing!) but I never really had the bucks for one, or any of the others. Then a really generous guy came along and gave me one, whoah! All but a couple of the minifigs and 25 pieces which I ordered from Bricklink. Had to give it the usual good scrub as well as a bath in peroxide but otherwise, the force is strong with this one!

(Oh yes, the mini X-Wing in some of the photos... made that up with some spare parts on hand)

LEGO 394 HARLEY-DAVIDSON 1000cc | 1976

My brother had this set back in the late 70's, it would have been a birthday or Christmas present and I'm sure Mum & Dad would have felt led to give us both a similar set to make us not kill each other over who got what. Not sure what set I would have had.
This is one of the Lego 'Hobby' sets I have attempted to 'get back' again, and I finally did just over 3yrs ago.
I managed to get all the pieces minus 4 out of an old rusty trunk in a cool guy's garage, give it a really good scrub, a bath in peroxide for the white and light grey bits, a fresh set of replica stickers... some downloadable instructions and finally getting round to doing this... BHAM! another 'vintage' set to add to the collection.
Has a real 'blocky' look to it but that was Lego back then hey.
