Crunchies

3 cups oats
2 cups dessicated coconut
1 cup flour
1 and a half cup sugar
Half a tsp salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup melted butter
Half a cup milk
2 tsp baking soda
Preheat oven to 180
Mix all dry ingredients then add wet ingredients
Line a tray with a baking sheet. Add in the mixture and flatten it with a spatula.
Bake for 30 minutes

Gulab Jamun
1 cup cake flour
1 tablespoon semolina
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
185 ml condensed milk
300 ml oil for frying

Ingredients for Syrup
1 cup granulated white sugar
1 cups water
1 drop cardomom syrup or powder

1 cup desiccated coconut

1. Combine the 1 cup flour, semolina, cardamom powder, bicarb and baking powder. Add butter then work into a fine crumb like texture. Add condensed milk. Mix until a soft dough is formed. Once a ball is formed let the dough rest while you make the syrup.
Boil the water, sugar and cardomom powder or syrup stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture appears slightly thick.

Shape the dough into long, thin finger like shapes - they will expand once fried. Heat the oil in a heavy based pan on medium heat. Fry the gulab jamnus until brown. Remove from oil then imerse into the syrup. For coconut gulab jamuns immerse the syrupy gulab jamuns into a bowl filled with dessicated coconut. Serve hot or cold. Store in an airtight container .
