It is getting colder and we know the cooler weather is on its way. Please help us keep our precious rescues warm this winter by donating R100 for a blanket to help keep them warm. Our blankets have seen better days as some have more holes than blanket at the moment 🤪..

The good. The bad. The ugly.

The good 🐾
Fatty is booked for surgery.
Paid in full by one absolute legend of a human.
Petrol? Covered.
Toll gates? Covered.
Rustenburg trip? Covered.
For one moment, the universe blinked… and chose kindness.

The bad 💸
Our staff are still short.
We need R5 000 to make sure the people who carry this place on their backs actually get paid what they’re owed.
They show up. Every day.
Even when the tanks are empty and the coffee stopped working three breakdowns ago.

The ugly 😬
Debit orders are circling like vultures with excellent timing.
We need another R7 000 to keep them from stripping what little stability we have left.

Total: R12 000
That’s what stands between us and the kind of chaos that doesn’t make for good stories… just survival mode.

And that’s before:
⚡ Electricity
📱 Data & talktime
🏥 Vet bills
🚰 Water
🚗 Midlands runs
(All those “optional extras” like staying operational.)

Here’s the truth, stripped down:
We are tired.
We are stretched.
We are one bad day away from things getting very real.

But we are not quitting.
Not on the animals.
Not on our team.
Not on everything we’ve fought this hard to build.

Even if we have to drag this place forward on sheer stubbornness and caffeine fumes — we will.

So… can we make a pre-Easter miracle happen?
