What a year it’s been!

Plenty of farming… and hardly any fishing. So it felt damn good to finally get back to the water this week with a solid mate and do what we truly love most — some proper winter fishing. 🎣❄️

There’s nothing quite like going head-to-head with a decent musselcracker. The fight is always intense — and this one was no different. We hooked this fish in a seriously foul, shallow, reefy spot. In those conditions, there’s only one thing to do: hit and hold!

And that’s exactly what Chris did. He locked down the drag on his Saragosa and let the Okuma Euphoria do the talking — and it absolutely dis just that. The cracker put on a proper show, darting for every ledge and mussel bank it could find. But with some well-timed teamwork and a bit of help from the incoming sets, we got it over the ledge and into a gully for a safe landing.

This was one of those unforgettable battles — one we’ll both remember for years to come. Huge congrats on your PB musselcracker, my friend — you earned that one. 💪🔥

The fish was safely sampled, tagged, and released to fight another day. Here’s to future generations getting the same thrill! 🙌🐟

What a year 2024 has been. It's been a while, but it was awesome to get back to the water and catch a couple of fish again!!!

Merry Christmas and happy new years to all our customers, friends, and family, May your rods bend and reels scream this festive season. We thank you for all the support.

Let's all remember that our fish stocks are under major pressure, take some time to do your part, get a tagging kit and let's all practice more catch and release in 2025!!!🎣🐟💪

It was awesome to have the U16 western province boys in the shop. It is always great to see the excitement and enthusiasm for fishing. Being able to sponsor them a few things for their junior nationals in January was nothing other than a pleasure. These boys are the future of fishing and conservation. We need to look after them.

I wish that more suppliers and tackle stores would stand behind and support our Junior, as well as ladies angling teams, these very youngsters are the future of our oceans and the very people who will support our fishing businesses. It's sad to hear that they received very little support or sponsorship from the so called "big boys" of the industry.

Good luck with your national boys!!! We stand behind you all the way.
