Quail is the collective name for several mid-sized birds of the pheasant family. They are seed eaters that nest in the ground and are capable of short, rapid bursts of flight. The succulent, tender game birds, always associated with the food of kings, are now available at a price you can afford. Our barn raised quail are reared on specially formulated diets to ensure that the attractive game bird

taste is maintained. Gourmet customers wish to feast on the tenderness, size and appearance of excellently prepared quail. The size of the birds is an all-important factor, and it is in this area that Carmay King Quails maintains a very competitive edge on the entire South African market. Our quails are barn raised near Stellenbosch in a natural environment under stringent scientific conditions. They are slaughtered in an A-grade abattoir on the property, so as to minimize stress.
