Our Colombian sugarcane decaf is a sweet cocoa like coffee. Notes of milk chocolate and almond dominate the cup. What makes this decaf different from most decafs is that it’s fresh crop coffee. Often decaffeinated coffee is old crop, left over from the last harvest. This coffee comes via the Red Associations network in Colombia, which aims to help farmers' groups achieve their self-identified goals: To achieve stable and sustainable prices for community coffee lots through improved quality control, shared knowledge, and a connection to the specialty coffee market.

Taste Notes: Chocolate, caramel & red fruits 🍎🍫

This is a direct trade coffee, providing stable & sustainable prices to community farms. As well as owning his own farm, José heads up a co-operative of farms in Nariño. 🌱 The co-operative's goal is to represent the producers and work with us as roasters, together creating a sustainable value chain. They buy the coffee from the farmers wet and in parchment, meaning the quality of the drying is down to the cooperative and not the farmers. 🌾This ensures that there isn't room for the drying process go wrong due to environmental factors and ensures the farmer gets paid well year round.
