I used to think rest meant I needed a whole day off.

Then I realised rest is also sitting in my car for two minutes before going inside. Or lying on the floor while my kid plays. Or ordering takeaways so I don't have to think about dinner.

Rest doesn't look the same for everyone. And it doesn't have to be Instagram-worthy to count 🤍

Save this for when you need the reminder.

Motherhood can be beautiful and exhausting all at the same time.

Today I’m thinking especially of the moms who feel overwhelmed, unseen, or stretched thin lately.

You deserve to be cared for too.

I started this business because I felt called to. It came from a place much deeper than financial gain.

Going through my postpartum depression journey, I kept feeling like it couldn’t be for nothing—there had to be purpose in it.

As moms, it’s not always easy to ask for help or take time for ourselves without feeling guilty.

I wanted to create what I wish had existed for me—gentle, natural products that remind you: rest isn’t selfish. You’re allowed to need help. You matter, even when everything feels heavy.

With every product I choose and every box I pack, my hope is that you feel a little less alone—and a little more cared for (even if that care comes from yourself).

If you’re in the thick of it right now, please reach out. Talk to someone. Ask for help.

And if you need a small reminder that you matter? This is what Self-Care Sanctuary is here for 🤍

After my postpartum journey, I found myself drawn to lavender in the garden.
I’d pick a few flowers, hold them, smell them…
just for a moment of quiet when everything felt like too much.
It wasn’t a cure. It was a coping tool. A small, gentle way to ground myself when everything felt
too much.
Now, I use lavender essential oil in a diffuser. 3-5 drops. 2 minutes of breathing. Eyes closed.
The scent takes me back to those quiet moments when I needed them most.
You don’t need an hour of self-care.
Sometimes, a moment is enough.
This is why I’ve chosen to include natural essential oils at Self-Care Sanctuary—
not as a solution, but as a natural, gentle tool for moms who need to reset but don't have hours
to do it.
A few important safety notes:
- Essential oils are concentrated—always dilute before skin contact (1-2 drops in carrier oil)
- Use 3-5 drops in a diffuser (not more)
- If pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor first
- Keep away from babies and pets
You deserve moments of calm, mama. Even in the middle of everything. 🤍

Self-care for when you have no time, no energy, and no childcare.

5 minutes. That's it.

Swipe through for ideas that actually fit into the chaos of motherhood.

You don't need a spa day. You don't need a weekend away. (Though if you can get those, take
them!)

You just need 5 minutes where you're allowed to be a person, not just a mom. 💛

These were my 6 signs of postpartum depression.

Swipe through if you need to hear this: you're not crazy, you're not failing, and you're not alone.

I was two weeks postpartum when I knew something was wrong. I was crying uncontrollably at a baby clinic appointment. I hadn't slept. I wasn't coping. The sister referred me to a psychiatrist, and I made an appointment.

For 2 weeks before I made that appointment, I'd been experiencing these signs. The dark thoughts terrified me—I felt so ashamed that I didn't tell anyone at first, not even my psychiatrist. I thought something was deeply wrong with me.

But intrusive thoughts are a symptom of PPD and postpartum anxiety. They're common. They don't make you a bad mom.

The irrational fear. The constant worry I was failing him. The isolation. The exhaustion that felt different from "new mom tired." All of it was PPD.

It took 14 months and the right medication for the fog to lift.

If any of this resonates: please reach out. Talk to your doctor. Call a therapist. You don't have to push through this alone.

There is a way through. I promise. 💛

A notebook that becomes a garden 🌸

I love these seed paper notebooks because they feel like the perfect metaphor for self-care: you pour your thoughts, your chaos, your gratitude onto the pages. And when you're done? You don't throw it away. You plant it.

You watch something beautiful grow from the time you took for yourself.

50 blank pages for whatever you need right now. When you're ready, the cover becomes wildflowers.

Two designs available - R150
Made in South Africa by 💚

Which cover speaks to you?
💐 "A Hug of Flowers"
💛 "You Are Awesome"
