The Gallery - St Lucia was the venue for a very special birthday celebration in honour of a remarkable lady. Bianca, her granddaughter, surprised her Ouma, Tannie Heila, with a delightful brunch and cake. The occasion marked Tannie Heila's 89th birthday, a truly remarkable milestone. We were deeply honoured to be part of the celebration of this extraordinary woman, who is not only an amazing friend but also a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The menu featured Lemon Meringue Tart and tea, Tannie Heila's preferred choice, as well as a customised quiche to accommodate dietary restrictions. The gathering was filled with laughter, engaging conversation, and entertaining activities, including rock painting and puzzle-building for the great-grandchildren. The beautifully painted rocks created by the 5-year-old were a testament to his creativity. Unfortunately, the celebration came to an end, and Tannie Heila had to rest and prepare for her evening festivities. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to share in this special day.
