Tera-Tech Ambassador: Andre Catch Report:

I had the opportunity to assist a group of novice anglers who were eager to try their hand at fishing. They chose Swartruggens as their destination, a place they had visited before but had not yet tried fishing there. Although Swartruggens is not known for its large fish population, recent signs had hinted at some potential, especially after a period of drought a few years ago.

Unfortunately, unfavourable wind conditions persisted throughout the weekend, leading to a rather sluggish fishing experience. However, we were fortunate enough to land a few carp despite the challenging circumstances. Interestingly, Swartruggens is often considered a night time fishing location, but all our catches occurred during the daytime.

For bait, we employed a standard ground feed mixture primarily composed of maize, supplemented with a small quantity of tigers and h**p. All the fish were caught from the opposite bank in water depths of approximately 4 meters, with a silty bottom. Our chosen rigs were blowbacks featuring size 6 curve shank hooks.

Baits were double bottom tigers cut down, and Pineapple and Sweetcorn were the winning flavours.

We eagerly anticipate our return to Swartruggens in the winter to uncover more of the dam's mysteries and potential fishing opportunities

Catch Report from TERA-TECH Brand Ambassador Michelle:

Approaching wild water venues can be very intimidating. I chose to stick to the basics.
Simple particle feed consisting of h**p, buckwheat, maize and tigers laced with pineapple concentrate from the 1 and only Tera Tech baits.

Hook baits that continued to do the trick was the pineapple tigers and the sweetcorn tigers.

Fishing was tough, but I managed to land 2 fish and lost 1.
