Heartfelt Thank You & Farewell from Bookit Books (Bookit Online Pty Ltd) & Kourse Publishing Pty Ltd
Dear Bookit Books community — students, lecturers, parents, and supporters,
Today we share a bittersweet update: Bookit Books (Bookit Online Pty Ltd) & Kourse Publishing will be closing its doors permanently on the 30th of November 2025.
For many years, our purpose has been rooted in something deeply meaningful: to make Accounting, BCom, and Law textbooks affordable, accessible, and truly useful for students across South Africa. We built this business because we saw a need — as two BCom Accounting students ourselves — for more affordable academic resources.
Through Kourse Publishing and Bookit Books, we published and distributed textbooks that helped learners navigate their studies.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to every one of you who trusted us on this journey:
• To the students who ordered our books for their modules — thank you for believing in us.
• To the lecturers and tutors who recommended our titles — we are honoured to have played a role in your teaching.
• To parents and families who bought books for their loved ones — your support meant more than you can imagine.
• To our corporate clients and partners who trusted our quality, service, and values.
We’re proud that we could serve as “your one-stop BCom & Law bookstore”, offering textbooks up to honours level, while keeping prices low and quality high. Together, we helped many students save time and money, and that mission shaped everything we did.
Although this chapter is ending, the impact we made with you will stay with us. We’ll always remember how your trust helped us grow and how your feedback pushed us to improve. The relationships, the shared goals, and the many moments of learning and service — they all mean the world to us.
As we close, we do so with full hearts and humble gratitude. Thank you for making Bookit Books & Kourse Publishing not just a business, but a community.
