Big Fish Challenge 2026

The competition truly lived up to its name — the “Big Fish Challenge”!

We finished 10th overall out of 75 teams with a total bag weight of 49.92kg.

It was incredible to witness the number of big fish landed over the weekend, with an impressive 22 fish over 40lb caught. That’s not even mentioning the many fish weighing 16 and 17 kg that came out during the competition.

A huge thank you to Oom Barney Stimie for continuously making it possible for us to fish in these amazing events.

As always, our feed of choice was our 🐟 Carpwise Mix 🐟. Not only did it produce results for us, but it also proved successful for several other teams throughout the competition, which we’ll highlight in a separate post.

For hookbaits, we relied on FTA Tigernuts, specifically the Honey flavour, and they performed exceptionally well throughout the event.

Congratulations to all the teams that participated, and well done to the organisers for another fantastic competition. 🎣🏆
