This Valentine's day I'm celebrating a different kind of love.
The quiet love.
The building love.
The early mornings, hands-working, yarn-tangled kind of love.

Dandelion The Label was never about fast fashion or big factory moments. It's about loving the process. Loving local. Loving small batches. Loving the rhythm of creating something slowly and intentionally in our beautiful hometown of Montagu.

Love isn't only roses and red hearts. Sometimes love looks like recycled cotton yarn and sometimes it's just choosing to keep showing up for your dream.

However you're spending this Valentine's day, I do hope you're loving what you do, loving your people and loving the journey you're on.

The loveliest moment from this week 💛

We spent a few slow days in Langebaan and drove through to Vredenburg, on our way back home to Montagu, to collect our recycled cotton yarn and for the first time I finally met the woman who lovingly balls all the yarn by hand.

It felt very special putting a face and a story to this part of the process. These are the quiet, "behind the scenes" connections that make what we do feel so meaningful. Grateful for the hands, the care and the journey our yarn takes before it reaches the studio.

Still feeling all festive after yesterday's Montagu Village Market Christmas market

Such a special hometown Christmas market - we loved it and even more so sharing the day next to friends - beautiful embroidery work by my talented friend .jean.unlimited

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported local, had a chat and enjoyed the festive vibes with us. Grateful for this wonderful community 🤍

After hours of quiet, steady work in the studio, our handmade baskets and bathmats are finally ready to be part of the Skeppend market at Simonsvlei Wine Farm from the 28th November to the 21st December.

We've been a bit quiet, I know - but honestly, the studio has been a whirlwind of yarn, colours and half-finished pieces everywhere! It's that busy, but happy kind of chaos.

I've been spending my days making and finishing lots of new stock for Skeppend market starting on Friday 28th November. It feels so good to finally see everything coming together.

Thank you for being here, supporting my small studio and for cheering on the handmade life. It really does mean the world 💛

What a joy to host this beautiful group of ladies at the studio yesterday!
They came for the Vygie shoes, stayed for a glass of wine and spent the afternoon on the porch laughing and having fun 🌸

Our studio is more than just a shopping experience - it's about connection, slow living and enjoying the little moments.

My home studio doors are always open - you're more than welcome to pop in, try on your favourite pair and linger a little longer!

~ Winter in the studio ~

The quiet days of winter always bring a certain kind of magic into the studio - soft light, moody tones and a slower rhythm that lets creativity breathe.

As the season starts to shift, I've been reflecting on these moments spent surrounded by yarn, textures and colour.
Soon the warmth of spring will spill in, but for now I'm holding onto the beauty winter has offered here.
