We recently took a week's break in the amazing city of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
As usual we set a day aside to visit the local wine regions.
Due to time constraints and stormy weather we only managed to visit two estates, Winery Milos (Vinarija Milos, Ponikve) and Grgic Vina (Grgić Vina).

Both estates had fantastic wines and beautiful tasting rooms.
I've had the privilege of visiting many wine regions and estates throughout the world but the setting at Grgic Vina has no equal in my humble opinion. The backdrop of the vineyards and the ocean is truly magnificent.

In 2016 we toured the Napa and Sonoma wine regions in the USA.
One of the estates that we visited to was Grgich Hills Estate, whose founder and owner is the legendary Miljenko "Mike" Grgich.
Anyone who is familiar with 'the Judgement of Paris' will know exactly who this gentleman is.
In 1996 Mike decided to open a winery in Croatia, his country of birth.
We feel truly blessed that we have managed to visit his estates in both countries.
