Inspired by the nation’s love affair with the oven, this class delves into the comforting science of British baking. Children learn how to rub butter into flour for scones, crimp pastry for hand pies, and cream butter and sugar for light, fluffy sponges. The budding chefs will be encouraged to improvise with seasonal jams, custards, fruits, or savoury mixtures, giving kids a solid technical foundation they can apply to endless tea-time creations at home.
