To think we started in 2012 and is still going! Sci-Bono Discovery Centre is hosting school holiday workshops showing how your maths and science works in real life!
Our focus is on teaching;
Teamwork
Logical thinking
Problem solving
Building a project as a team to a successful conclusion.
Aim;
Our country needs engineers and scientists.
Teams need to be able to communicate between members.
Jere you get the experience of working as a team in a fun and exciting project!

Each Rocket launched with an AIM USB on-board! 4 launches, 4 successes.

Happy New Year!
ASR is moving into 2 directions this year.
ASR will continue providing services to companies.
Rocket Explorers will focus on the hobby and workshops.
In that spirit we are working on a ready to fly kit called the Firefly.
the first prototypes are being tested right now.

I am planning on holding a 1 day rocketry workshop.
Aimed at youngster's.
Costs is being calculated, but should be around R500 per participant.
Parents and 1 child;
Model rocket kit
Motor
Venue hire.
Date; 16 December [Tuesday] or 20 December [Saturday] I will hold a poll.
Venue will be either Klip River Country Estate or the Roos farm.
Both need to be paid for.
The advantage of KRCE is having an indoor venue with power and bathrooms.
If we get 20 people it will go ahead.
Once confirmed,
Payments must be in by 2 December.
Invoice will be issued.
Breakdown of the workshop;
09:00 brief discussion of how rockets work.
11:00 building the models.
12:00 tea time
13:00 launch time.
