Did you know that tulips have some amazing care secrets?
Like this page if you’d love to learn how to keep your tulips looking beautiful for 3–4 weeks — from the fresh, green tulips in the first photo to the beautifully matured tulips in the second photo.
In this post, I’m sharing Tulip Care Tips 1, 2 and 3, but there are still many more secrets to this fascinating cut flower! 🌷
Tip 1 - buy tulips in winter / cold weather, they do not do well in warm temperatures
Tip 2 - buy them when they are still small buds, closed buds, green, flower buds not really showing colour yet
Tip 3 - poke a small hole with a pin just underneath the flower buds (as demonstrated in photo 3 and 4) - this releases any air in the stem which might block absorbing water to the flower bud
