Practically every day we are bombarded with evolution - whether it be a story on the news about a new potential "missing link" find, in movies or in school. Because we've been brought up on a staple diet of evolution it rarely occurs to many people to actually question what they've been taught as fact. What is a fact is that evolution, and The Big Bang, are only theories; what is a fact is that th

ere are many reputable scientists who fight against these theories and have dedicated their lives to teaching people the truth (so don't think that all scientists believe in evolution). Christians don't realise the dangers in letting these poisonous theories go unchecked and get passed onto our children like a virus. The theory of evolution and The Big Bang are used to try undermine the Book of Genesis. Genesis is the gateway to the Gospel, so if Genesis is undermined then the whole Gospel loses credibility. If evolution is true then the Creation account isn't; if evolution is true then the Bible is wrong; if there was no original Adam and Eve, and thus no original sin, then there is no reason for a Saviour. What many people are unaware of is that science actually strongly supports the Bible, and the biblical timeline which shows that the earth is only about 6,400 years young. This is stuff you won't hear about on TV simply because secular scientists need a history filled with billions of years to try explain how we got here without a Creator being involved. Christian Bookshop we seek to educate people and show how things such as Creation and the Flood of Noah are entirely explainable scientifically. You might originally feel some anger when the penny drops at how you've been lied to your whole life and manipulated to believe what the secular world wants you to believe, but as you delve through the world of science (which is taught via books and DVD's in an easy to understand way for the non-scientifically minded) your mind will be freed and your faith strengthened.

So today we're all set up at the Shongweni Farmers Market until 11h30. And what a misty morning it is. It would seem that this time at the market we've been banished to the tower - literally. On site is an eco tower which has been on display for months and today, for the first time (using us as the proverbial guinea pig I suppose) the bottom room has now been allocated as a stall. It's a great area with lots of space, the only problem is getting people to realise that there's a stall in here.

Well we're here on God's mission and we just trust and pray that He'll bring the right people to us.

Question It! has a busy weekend coming up. Tomorrow, from 06h30 to 11h30, we'll be at the Shongweni Farmers & Craft market.

And on Sunday we'll be at the Hillcrest Country Market (located at Hillcrest Primary School) from 9am to 1pm.
