📦 SALES AND SHOP ASSISTANT
If you’re looking for an exciting opportunity in the firearm retail industry and would like to become part of a well-established retailer with 33 years of experience, we’d love to hear from you!

What will you be doing?

Assisting and dealing with clients
Processing and following up on orders
In-store sales and pricing
Shelf packing and merchandising
Stock and general shop duties
Administrative and related responsibilities
Computer-based administrative and sales tasks
Assisting with social media and digital content
Updating product information and pricing where required

👤 The ideal candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:
Intelligent, enthusiastic and eager to learn
Administration and procedure driven
A confident and professional communicator
Customer-focused and friendly
Organised, reliable and detail-oriented
Interested in the firearm, hunting and outdoor industry
Computer literate with good general computer skills
Comfortable working with email, documents, spreadsheets and point-of-sale systems
Social media savvy and comfortable working with platforms such as Facebook and Instagram

Able to assist with basic social media posts, product information and online communication

Able to work independently as well as part of a team

Previous sales experience and firearm competency are an advantage — but not essential.

💰 REMUNERATION
Basic salary based on skills, experience and relevant certification, with room for growth and development within the business.

Today, our hearts are full as we celebrate an incredible milestone – 33 years of Kalahari Arms.

Thirty-three years of serving our community, building friendships, sharing knowledge, and helping thousands of people find the right equipment, advice, and confidence for their sporting, hunting, and self-defence journeys.

Like every great story, ours has had its share of highs and lows. We've weathered challenges, embraced change, and celebrated many unforgettable moments. Through it all, one thing has remained constant – the incredible support of our loyal clients, friends, suppliers, and the shooting community who have stood by us every step of the way.

In 2022, a new chapter began when Martin and Bianca proudly took ownership of Kalahari Arms. It wasn't simply the purchase of a business—it was the continuation of a legacy that had already touched so many lives.

That same year, Kalahari Arms became even more than a business to us... it became part of our family's story. We were privileged to celebrate our marriage right here in the store, surrounded by the place and the people who mean so much to us. It is a memory we will treasure forever.

Over the past three years, we've worked tirelessly to grow Kalahari Arms into more than just a firearm and outdoor store. Together, we've expanded our product range, strengthened relationships with leading brands, introduced exciting events, supported sport shooters and hunters across South Africa, invested in education and training, and built a community that feels more like family than customers.

Every handshake, every conversation, every first firearm purchase, every successful licence application, every competition, every hunt, and every smile shared in our store has helped shape who we are today.
