This Mandela Month, we’re celebrated the planting of 15 indigenous trees at The Old Mushroom Farm, donated by Inspirations Travel & Tours in partnership with Food & Trees for Africa. These new additions form part of our ongoing journey to grow a greener, more connected community; where gardens, people and nature thrive together. Celebrating and at the

We're proud to see two of The Old Mushroom Farm's makers featured in Making Ground, the flagship exhibition at the inaugural KZN Art Fair during the Hilton Arts Festival, from 7–9 August 2026. Celebrating the designers and craftspeople shaping contemporary South African material culture, the exhibition brings together some of the region's most exciting creative voices.

Alkaline will unveil new pieces from WAYST, a collection that transforms demolition rubble into beautifully crafted lighting and furniture, alongside new additions to the studio's growing range of objects.

Crooks Goods will showcase its signature blend of industrial simplicity and refined craftsmanship, including its concrete Butler Sink and cabinetry.

If you're visiting the festival, be sure to stop by Making Ground, and if you'd like to see where these ideas are made, their studios are right here at The Old Mushroom Farm.

Robin has been performing since the 70s in Southern Africa and overseas, and has released a number of albums over the years. Two of his big hits were ‘All of Woman’ and ‘Baby, You've Been Good to Me’.

He will be joined by acclaimed violinist Ant Cawthorn-Blazeby of Landscape Prayers and Celtis fame.
