Primitive people recognised and used beeswax and honey as an antiseptic aid for healing wounds. The honeybee secretes beeswax to build the walls of the honeycomb. When wax is secreted by the bee it is a transparent colourless liquid, which later turns into a semi-solid substance on contact with the atmosphere. WHY HONEY IS GOOD FOR YOU

Simply Bee is a family orientated business! Our dad, Derick Hugo started with beekeeping in 1954 and kept it as a hobby that grew into a business in 1994 when he and our mom, Marie returned to Hopefield to retire.
