our top-selling book since we opened our bookshop - called by the wild by conraad de rosner.

we’ve sold thousands of books over the last 18 months, but this remains our most popular book. we’ve sold more copies of conraad’s book than any other, by a long way.

this is because he always sent people to our shop to support us, but also because it’s a story of passion and bravery that is really worth reading.

we are so deeply saddened by the untimely passing of conraad geza de rosner.

we hosted our very first author event with him shortly after we opened. he became a champion of our little store, and a friend.

under the tough exterior, conraad had a heart of gold, was generous beyond measure and nurtured a deeply creative and artistic spirit, evident in his sculptures and paintings.

the world was not ready to say goodbye to a man of such unparalleled passion and fervour. as his mother wrote in the prologue to his book, “his spirit will hover over the bushveld forever.”

to the many different women whose stories have shaped us and whose words inspire us on a daily basis, happy women’s day....

join us on thursday, 6 august, as we welcome tony park to the (little) bookshop for the launch of his latest novel, king of beasts.

a portion of all book sales on the evening will support nourish eco village and their work in education, skills and empowerment programmes aimed at fighting poaching through fighting poverty.
