‼️ IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Due to the Orange Level 8 warning issued by the South African Weather Service, the closure of schools and the request to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary, we will once again err on the safe side and be CLOSED tomorrow (Wednesday, 3 June 2026).

Our normal operating hours should resume from Thursday, 4 June - depending on the extent of damage and the severity of the weather. We will keep you abreast of any changes.

Keep yourselves and your animals warm, stay safe, and wrap yourself in the plot of a good book! 📚 💙

We have weathered the storms, are rehabilitating a few damp books, and, most importantly, we are OPEN FOR BUSINESS again. 🎉

There may still be a few repairs happening over the coming days, so please bear with us through any noise and chaos.

Until then, we are operating at our regular hours - and will happily supply you with your reading 'fix'.

‼️‼️ Please take note:

- Due to extensive water and structural damage following yesterday's storm, the Blue Forest will be CLOSED until further notice.

- Should you attempt to contact us over the next few days, please be aware that we may be unable to respond timeously. At our place of residence, we currently without electricity or cell reception due to damage to infrastructure in the area. This may take days to fix.

- Please keep an eye on our social media pages for updates on when we will re-open.

- Physically, we are safe and grateful that we will be able to repair a fair amount of what has been damaged.

- Our thoughts are with all those who have sustained trauma, injury, and losses during this time.

- Stay safe and warm during the inclement weather over the coming days.
Check in on your friends and neighbours, and don't forget the importance of compassion and community during times like these.

- Thank you to our first-responders and municipal teams who are working diligently to protect residents and restore damage.

We are sending you love, prayers for protection and rebuilding, and hours of happy reading.
