Belegging in ons jeug se toekoms 🎨📐

Super Platina Verwe en Gauburg het onlangs met trots tegniese tekenborde en ArtAcryl-verf aan Hoërskool Overvaal geskenk.

Op die foto oorhandig Jonathan Kymdell, Super Platina Verwe se Operasionele Bestuurder, die tekenborde aan mnr. A. van Wyk, Adjunkhoof van Hoërskool Overvaal.

By Super Platina Verwe glo ons daaraan om in leerders te belê en om hulle die geleenthede en hulpmiddels te gee wat hulle nodig het om hul talente te ontwikkel. 🌱

What an incredible showcase of creativity! 🌈🖌️

A huge THANK YOU to every talented artist, teacher and school who took part in our ArtAcryl 3 Colours, 1 Canvas Competition. We were truly impressed by the creativity, originality and skill shown in every entry.

Working with only three colours and one canvas challenged our participants to think creatively, experiment boldly and make every brushstroke count — and you certainly delivered! 🎨

We know that talking about the weather is about as exciting as watching Super Platina's paints dry, but after this cold snap, let us be the first to give you some good news!

The mornings are still nippy (single digits, if we're honest), but by Friday we're sitting comfortably in the high 20s. The cold front has officially left the chat.

So dust off the ladders, air out the drop cloths — exterior painting season is stirring back to life. 🌤️

The cold snap is breaking, but here's the thing most people miss when they're itching to get back outside with a paintbrush: temperature isn't the only thing that matters. Humidity does too. Paint applied onto a damp surface, or into damp air, won't cure properly, no matter how good the product is.

The good news: this weekend's when both catch up. Temperatures keep climbing, and the air finally dries out from Saturday. That's your window.

This week's cold caught a lot of us off guard. Frost on the lawns in Joburg is one thing but snow on the mountains , single-digit days across Gauteng, roads closed in the Eastern Cape... that's not the kind of cold most of the country is built for.

We're not writing this from somewhere far away. Our factory is in Daleside, Meyerton. Same cold mornings, same reluctant walk to the car, same "why didn't I bring a heavier jacket" regret as everyone else this week. When the weather does something South Africa isn't used to, we feel it too, just like you do.

To everyone who's had a harder week because of it, especially those without an easy way to warm up a home, we see you.

Stay warm, stay safe, and look out for each other.
