To celebrate World Bee Day, we’re sharing this delicious Honey Chutney Braai Sauce recipe. 🍯 A sweet, sticky, slightly tangy sauce that brings extra flavour to anything on the braai.
INGREDIENTS
• ½ cup honey
• ¼ cup Mrs Ball’s chutney
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp garlic (minced or powder)
• 1-2 tsp peri-peri sauce (optional for heat)
• Black pepper to taste
METHOD
• Add everything to a small saucepan.
• Heat on medium-low, stirring regularly.
• Simmer for 5-8 minutes until slightly thick and glossy.
• Let it cool slightly before using.
HOW TO USE IT
• Brush onto meat while braaing for a sticky glaze.
• Marinate chicken or pork for 1-2 hours.
• Drizzle over chops or steak once off the grid.
• Perfect for chicken wings and ribs.
