Seeking solace in the films her ex-girlfriend loved, Brooke soon finds traces of horror bleeding from the screen into her life. Old wounds reopen and new frictions surface, and when Brooke begins to exhibit strange symptoms of her own, Izzy’s concern spirals into obsession. The line between self and sister blurs until only one question remains: who, or what, will survive when all unravels?

We have an amazing new title in store this June and it’s our book of the month with a 20% discount running on it. ❤️

In The House at 6001, Diseko traces the intertwined lives of her parents and her aunts and uncles who gathered, organised and resisted within their four-room Soweto house.

From banning orders and exile to late-night parties filled with music and defiance, their story captures both the intimacy and the enormity of South Africa’s struggle.

This promotion runs until the 30th of June. If you would like a copy, send us a DM or email us: [email protected]

Join us on Wednesday, 03 June for the launch of The End of Normal by Max Du Preez. Max will be in conversation with Mervyn Sloman.

In The End of Normal, Max du Preez explores how otherwise decent people came to implement and support an evil system like apartheid. He examines the long-term impact of June 16 and takes a hard look at white and Black attitudes today, in particular the resurrection of Afrikaner nationalism. An honest account spiced with anecdotes, confessions and revelations

You might remember her as not that kind of girl, and now she’s Famesick - Lena Dunham has a new memoir!

For the last decade, as she’s spent countless hours in doctor’s waiting rooms searching for diagnoses, treatments, and relief, being the owner and operator of Lena Dunham’s body has felt, as she puts it, “like towing a wrecked car across town at midnight.

In Famesick, Dunham asks herself what the cost of fulfilling her dreams has really been, and whether it was worth it.

We have copies of this in stock and we deliver countrywide, be in touch if you’d like a copy: [email protected]

Lucy’s current read! 🐶😍

A story of growing up, juggling owners with high expectations and animals with big opinions, bluffing confidence, quirky colleagues, cows with anger issues and midnight emergencies. It’s about navigating the challenges of dating, using coffee as a crutch, finding humour in dark moments, and the immense joy and grief that come with loving animals.
