Winter flower in our garden

Does anybody know what this flower is? It seems to be quite rare as we have only seen it in our garden. We know it is indigenous but that's as much as we know!

Horse riding in the Karoo

A wonderful thing to do in winter time is to take a drive up to the Karoo and go horse riding. You are out in nature and even if the weather is cold, you wrap up and what a joy it is to experience the scenery on horse back!

We've been waiting for this for too long. I'm glad to say now we got a stock of the Saturn lantern radiates a strong 'circular' glow from it's single candle flickering warm LED light. The panel and battery are integrated into a strong durable unit which sits on top of the 'rattan' basket. It has a single AA rechargeable battery which is easily changed if need be.

The solar panel will need about 6 hours of charge a day in order to be able to run all night. The Saturn is also great for childrens night lights.

The Solar Bubbles are a beautiful decorative solar lighting display based on small shrubs with white berries. There are four "stems", each with 6 LED "bubbles" which can be shaped to any desirable form. The stems can be hidden away in natural shrubbery with the lights protruding and giving a very pleasant ambient feel. The solar panel can be placed up to 2m away from the stems in a sunny position. The unit has one AA rechargeable NiMH battery. There are two functions, blinking and steady on. The unit has a built-in daylight sensor which automatically turns the lights on when it is dusk.

The solar panel, which needs to be placed in a North facing position, will need about 6 hours of charge a day in order to be able to run all night. The system is splashproof and can be used outside. Two modes are selectable, non-blinking and blinking.
