Yesterday marked 7 incredible years since I founded .sa! I have to admit, I completely missed it as I was away with my family! But better late than never, right? 😊 Let's take a stroll down memory lane, reminiscing on the moments that shaped Shop Zero™.

🛍 We started humbly, trading at markets & selling via our “Facebook Shop" while chasing the perfect shop space.

💫 By Feb 2018 we opened a pop-up shop – a decision born from the challenges of finding the elusive 'perfect spot.' That April we launched our online store & a few months later, we found a space that we lovingly called home.

🚀 Amid the challenges of 2020's uncertainty, we bid farewell to our Woodstock space & focused on nurturing our online store.

🌱 In Apr 2021, Observatory became our new home. A little space to see, touch & feel our products, and where dreams were shipped across the country.

🏢 We then moved into .candor's space to amplify our impact on . 💚

🌆 2023 was a pivotal year as I considered selling the business. 😬 But instead, I welcomed a new business partner. This serendipitous twist, led us to a pop-up in the city centre. After a successful run, we made the strategic decision to move our retail presence fully online.

As we seek our next permanent home, we're reminded of our journey of growth, change & resilience. To all our wonderful customers & followers, thank you for standing by us through each move & every decision.

🙏 I'm so thankful that you've been part of our journey & I am so proud of ALL of us! Together we've made SUCH a difference diverting plastic from our overflowing landfills as well as our oceans! Thank you for your unwavering support to our business & dedication to the movement! We wouldn't be here without loyal customers like YOU & your commitment to making a difference is just AMAZING!

Let's break free from plastic and go beyond . Well done to everyone who took part in this year's challenge! 💪 We live in a disposable world and this challenge is definitely not easy! Even if you've made a few mistakes throughout the challenge, you've done so much to help and can be very proud of yourself! 👏

We hope you'll continue using some of the new habits you've developed this past month (or past year) in 'Plastic Free August', 'Plastic Free September', 'Plastic Free October' because each month should be . 🙌

Also, 6 years later and we're still so in love with this shoot by ! 😍 The all-women team at and dressed up the lovely in post-consumer plastic from a waste depot to draw attention to plastic waste and its effects on our planet as well as marine life.

🤯 Plastic tea bags?! No thanks!! Scientists at McGill University in Montreal found that steeping a single plastic tea bag at brewing temperature 95°C releases approximately 11.6 billion microplastics and 3.1 billion nano plastics into a single cup!
