CHAMELEONS ARE GOING TO DIE… PLEASE HELP

As the clean-up continues across George, countless chameleons are at risk of being crushed, chipped, burned or left exposed in piles of branches and storm debris.

We are urgently asking anyone who has UV lights or UV torches to please contact us on 074 948 7007.

At night, UV lights help us spot chameleons hidden amongst the debris as their bodies glow under the light. Without these lights, many of them will never be seen in time.

If you find a chameleon, please place each chameleon into its own separate box and bring them to the Garden Route SPCA. Keeping them separated helps prevent stress and injury.

Please look carefully before clearing branches.

A single pile could still be hiding life.

Magda Ge**er, an early childhood educator and founder of the Resources for Infant Educarers, (or "Educaring"), believed deeply in respectful, child-led development from the very beginning of life.

She reminded us that nature is one of the richest environments for learning—even for the youngest children. From shifting light and fresh air to the smallest movements of birds and insects, the outdoors offers meaningful, sensory experiences that help children adapt, grow stronger, and connect with the world around them.
