“When you buy something made by a person there is something special there, and you feel it. The consciousness with which a thing is made is often more important than the thing itself” – J Donald Walters
JulSaan stems from an initiative created 5 years ago that was set up as a co-operative to empower disenfranchised individuals in the Mitchell’s Plain suburb of Cape Town. Sadly, this co-operative
seized in July 2020 due to the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic had on the economy and business. JulSaan is rebuilding to carry on assisting the community and empowering unemployed individuals who have lost their jobs, by reskilling them as members of this cooperative and share in the profits of this venture. All products are either handmade with genuine leather or as an alternative a quality canvas material.
