When I was younger, I always loved sneakers. I loved the way they looked, the way they felt, and the way they made me feel. I was always drawn to the sneaker culture and I knew that one day I wanted to create my own sneaker brand.
I started following my passion with one simple goal in mind: to create the best local sneaker brand in SA and then to expand to reach the world, that was the vision, I wanted to make sneakers that people will fall in love with, sneakers that will help all of us to DEFINE our own personal style.
It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication, but now the dream has begun to slowly take shape, the dream is finally being DEFINED.
The process of following my passion has not only helped me to “DEFINE my own DESTINY”, but it has also helped me to find myself, it has given me a sense of purpose because sometimes I felt like giving up, sometimes I even struggled with mental health issues, I would have days where I would not leave my bed, I would not eat, I was in a dark place.
One day I got a call from this guy who we just networked over social media because he is an entrepreneur like me and he shared with me his vision about a sneaker and it was in tune with my vision, the pieces of the puzzle came together like magic an we started working.
Starting a sneaker brand with my cofounder Sibulele Mene has been a therapeutic process for me. It has helped me to heal, it has helped me to Define myself and to Define my Destiny.
I know that the road to glory is never easy. There will be obstacles, and there will be times when I will be tempted to give up, there are no guarantees. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know it is something special. I can feel it inside of me, a burning desire to do something great.
Introducing to you a new SA sneaker brand that will give you hope and help you to keep going even when the going is tough.
