*Avon Endorses the Protection of Animal Rights ✊, *
Dear Avon Family
Today, more than 2000 beauty brands are certified as “cruelty-free” and Avon is one of them.
Although banned in 40 countries, cosmetic testing on animals is still legal in most of the world, and even making a comeback in some regions. To assist in raising awareness and sharing the plight of these animals, Humane Society International has created a film, , which aims to be a wake-up call to the public, and a reminder to lawmakers that we need robust animal testing bans in place. While we were not involved in the production of the film, we’re part of the global movement to end animal testing, and for us, this means supporting the film and campaign and encouraging you, our Representatives to proactively proudly share, like and engage with the film on your social channels.
We’re proud to be a supporter of HSI’s work. At Avon, we do not test products or ingredients on animals anywhere in the world and we’ve been working for acceptance on non-animal methods for three decades. We support the aims of CFI's Leaping Bunny certification. We've also been working for acceptance of non-animal methods with organizations including HSI, FRAME and IIVS and continue that vital work. Recognizing our efforts in this area, Avon is one of only a handful of organizations awarded PETA's Working For Regulatory Change accreditation.
